If we use metals, and REEs (rare earth elements) found here at home to build giant space ships, then we will need a massive amount of energy to clear our gravity dwell. So, unless we find a way to create massive amounts of energy very efficiently, it may not make any sense to build space ships on Earth at all. Well, then where might we build them?
